Available model libraries
Note
A model library is a collection of mathematical models implemented as SimObjects in FhSim.

The various FhSim SimObject libraries are loadable plugins. Some libraries will be publicly available, some are closed and other have their own licensing terms. A user can load multiple SimObjects from different libraries when defining a simulation scenario. It is even possible to write your own SimObject library if you have a developer license.

Featured, SINTEF-developed and maintained collections of SimObjects are listed in the following:

  • fhsim_base — Core building blocks: rigid bodies (mass, 3-DOF/6-DOF), simple vessels, a basic environment, signal sources, math operations, boolean logic, and controls/actuation.
  • fhsim_coribo — CoRiBo project structures, including winchable cables and related components.
  • fhsim_environment — Environmental fields: regular/irregular waves, current, and NetCDF-based ocean data.
  • fhsim_marine_elements — Marine structural elements: dynamic cables and ropes, rigid-bar/RM cables, and mooring/trawl-mooring components.
  • fhsim_maritime — Maritime/ship models: vessels, propulsion, and navigation & control.
  • fhsim_fishery — Fishing-gear models: trawling, Danish seining, and ice interaction.
  • fhsim_aquaculture — Aquaculture structures: net cages and fish-farm plant components.
  • fhsim_aquarobotics — Robotics models for aquaculture operations.
  • fhsim_bio — Biological system models, such as fish populations and biomass.

Each library ships its own Doxygen documentation. Cross-package links will be enabled when external tag files are provided via DOXYGEN_TAGFILES.
